Vineyard Notes: The Koha Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the MacDonald Family Home Vineyard.The rich top soils of the lower Wairau Valley have long been considered the finest agricultural soils in Marlborough. Combine this with the influence from Rarangi alluvial soils deposited by the mighty Wairau River 300 years ago, and one gets a wine brimming with complexity, personality and elegance. Winemaking Notes: The fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning, transferred to the winery where it underwent temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks using carefully selected yeast cultures. Post ferment maturation on fine lees gave the wine a refined texture to complement the exuberant aromatics. Tasting Notes: Intense aromas of grapefruit and tomato leaf with lively passion fruit and floral notes adding allure and complexity. This wine delivers delicious citrus and gooseberry flavors with a crisp, refreshing finish that is synonymous with Marlborough.
